Traditional Diet vs Body Taskforce Flame

How the traditional diet fails

When a person signs up for a traditional diet, they are met with strict guidelines to follow in order to fulfil the diet requirements. Many of these modern-day diets take the guidelines to such an extreme level that once the member finishes the diet plan they find themselves falling back into their old traditional eating/drinking habits. This is known as the yo-yo dieter; I am sure many of us have a friend who has yo-yo dieted for some time. It is not the dieter’s fault though, that person is actually trying to transform themselves, but they fell into the wrong hands. The fault lies in the hands of the diet programme, sadly the diet programme is happy to be at fault due to having repeat business from the yo-yo dieters. And so, the story continues round and round.

Breaking the chain

The way to resolve this issue is by breaking the chain, if the programme was structured on simple guidelines which could be easily tweaked and moulded to fit into the lifestyle of the member after the programme ended the chain would be broken. The member would have no need to fall back into their old lifestyle and therefore never yo-yo again. Instead they would continue to live the new lifestyle and if they felt the need for a community to help drive them at any point, they could simply sign-up for a further phase of the programme. Furthermore, how about if the programme was gender neutral? What is gender neutral about a programme I hear you ask. A gender neutral programme is the same for men and women, this would incorporate the same meal-plan and same exercise plans. Therefore your partner could eat and train with you during and after the programme ends. The member now has someone there to motivate them and drive them to continue onwards to the next level. The member is no longer alienated in their lifestyle choice.
